The clinical center in Cologne is a hospital with maximum medical care and 1500 patient beds. Every year, 50.000 patients are attended stationary and over 150 000 ambulatory. The company has a long experience in the area of utility vehicle telematics and is meanwhile present in more than 20 countries. dass IT provides Daimler FleetBoard GmbH with the web services of GroundWork Monitor Professional and supports them in controlling the infrastructure.
Migration with SmartClient
For public administration Open Source remains a controversial topic: There is a high interest but comparatively few projects are being realized. The administration for land register, surveying and mapping in Rhineland- Palatinate is a good counter-example. Its IT systems running under HP-UX and Windows Workstation have been uniformly migrated to Linux. At the same time, OpenOffice.org and other applications from the office automation have been introduced.
